Little Sesame’s Special Childhood
Despite being born and raised during the Chinese Cultural Revolution, living with my parents and protective siblings in a remote Chinese mountain valley was the happiest period of my life. With lots to see, to hear, and to do, I considered my childhood colorful. Although the people in our village lived in thatched huts with no electricity nor material wealth, we cared for each other and had plenty of fun during holidays, collective labor, village movies, and school activities. Here is a preview of the first five chapters of my memoir Little Sesame’s Special Childhood.
